Mr. Saurav Yadav was selected for the NSS Pre-Republic Day Parade Camp 2019, representing ITM Gwalior. Vivek Sharma, a second-year CSE student and volunteer from the ITM NSS unit, has been selected for the prestigious National Adventure Camp organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. The camp will be held in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, from October 14 to October 24, 2022.
Yogesh Singh Rathore, an NSS volunteer from ITM Gwalior and a third-year CSE student, has been selected to participate in the National Youth Festival 2023. NSS volunteer from ITM Gwalior, was selected to participate in the State Leadership Camp 2022. This prestigious camp is designed to enhance leadership skills and foster community service among students.

Ujjwal Batham, an NSS volunteer from ITM Gwalior, had the opportunity to participate in Su-Shasan Samagam 2022, organized by the Government of Madhya Pradesh on December 13, 2022. University Level Achievements
In 2019, ITM NSS Volunteers were awarded the first prize at the university level for their outstanding participation in the Swachh Bharat Summer Internship, a program initiated by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. This prestigious recognition highlights the volunteers’ exceptional dedication to promoting cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental sustainability in their community.
In a grand event organized by the Madhya Pradesh government under the campaign “Dharti Ka Shringar – Hariyali Mahotsav,” ITM Group of Institutions’ NSS Unit was awarded the first prize for its exemplary contribution. The ceremony took place at the Jain Gurukul auditorium, where ITM Gwalior’s NSS unit received recognition for its dedication to environmental and social causes.
The chief guest at the event was Prof. P.K. Srivastava, Vice Chancellor of Jiwaji University, who honored ITM Gwalior. Saurav Yadav, an NSS volunteer and a third-year B.Tech student in Biotechnology, received the award along with other participants.
The event saw participation from districts including Gwalior, Morena, Datia, Bhind, Shivpuri, Guna, and Ashoknagar, making it a grand occasion for environmental awareness and volunteerism. ITM Gwalior secured the 2nd position in the Nukkad Natak Competition on HIV Awareness at the university level. This achievement highlights the students' commitment to raising awareness about crucial health issues such as HIV through creative and impactful street plays. Their participation helped to spread important messages on HIV prevention, treatment, and reducing stigma, emphasizing the power of performance art in driving social change. On 24th September 2020, ITM College Gwalior organized a divisional-level online essay competition as part of the National Service Scheme (NSS) Day and Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti celebration. The event, covering Gwalior and Chambal divisions, aimed to connect today's youth with Mahatma Gandhi’s life and values through the theme "Gandhi Darshan."

ITM Gwalior's Initiatives During COVID-19
Twenty-five students from the NSS unit of ITM College demonstrated remarkable dedication by serving at the Corona Vaccination Center at Jiwaji University Hospital, City Centre, Gwalior, for 20 consecutive days. Their commitment to community service during the Covid-19 pandemic reflects their willingness to step up and contribute to public health efforts during a critical time.
These students assisted with various tasks at the vaccination center, such as managing queues, guiding people through the vaccination process, helping with registration, and ensuring that Covid-19 protocols were followed. Their service not only supported the healthcare staff but also helped streamline the vaccination process, making it more efficient and accessible for the community.
This initiative by the NSS volunteers of ITM College highlights the significant role that young individuals can play in public health and crisis management. Their selfless service stands as an inspiring example of how volunteerism can make a tangible impact in times of need.
Food Packets Distribution:
ITM Gwalior distributed food packets to the needy, ensuring that those who were severely affected by the lockdown and loss of income had access to basic necessities. The distribution involved collaboration between faculty, students, staff, and volunteers who worked together to prepare and distribute the food packets while following safety protocols to prevent the spread of the virus.
This act of kindness and community service exemplified how institutions can play a vital role in supporting society during crises, highlighting the importance of solidarity and compassion in times of need.
ITM unit helps the poor in withdrawing the financial assistance amount sent by the Government of India.
Mr Narendra Kumar Verma, Program Officer and Volunteers of NSS ITM Group of Institutions Gwalior, is giving his full contribution in serving the poor during the Covid-19 lockdown. While addressing the press, Mr Narendra Kumar said that he had received information that the assistance amount of Rs 1000, gas cylinder amount, and amount for wage card holders was sent by the Government of India for the help of the poor. To withdraw it, some people were taking advantage of their helplessness and charging Rs 50-100. Then NSS Unit decided that I will not let this system flourish, at least in my area. we contacted Mr Vinod Mama, Kiosk Operator SBI Tansen Nagar Gwalior, then with his help we started the work of withdrawing the full amount without any extra charge to all the needy people in Scindia Nagar for three days. Till now we have withdrawn the assistance of about 185 families without any extra charge and handed it over to them. We did not spend any money, we only have time for those needy people, which is our duty as a community volunteers. I request all those capable people that if such an incident is happening in your area, please make those needy people aware and inform them.
NSS-B & C Certificate
It’s great to hear about the dedication of the NSS volunteers from ITM Gwalior! More than 200 volunteers from the NSS ITM Unit get the NSS-B & C Certificate after completing (240 hours for B Certificate and 360 hours for C certificate) in community service in last 5 Years. This achievement reflects their commitment to serving the community and contributing positively to society, especially during challenging times like the Covid-19 pandemic.
The NSS-B Certificate is awarded to volunteers who have actively participated in community service activities, including awareness campaigns, social initiatives, and helping the needy. Completing 240 hours of service is a significant accomplishment that demonstrates their dedication, hard work, and willingness to make a difference.

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell ITM Gwalior
Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) is a flagship program initiated by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, with the vision to involve higher educational institutions (HEIs) in the development of rural India. For institutions seeking NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) accreditation, implementing UBA can serve as an excellent best practice program. The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) Cell of ITM Gwalior has been instrumental in driving development projects in its adopted villages by formally communicating the needs and requirements to the District Collector. Through these written communications, the UBA ITM Cell effectively highlighted the areas requiring attention, prompting action from local governing bodies such as the Janpad Panchayat and Jila Panchayat.
As a result of these efforts, significant work has been accomplished in the adopted villages of Badera and Sarnagat. One key project initiated through UBA ITM’s advocacy is the construction of boundaries around government schools in these villages.This initiative not only helps secure the school premises but also creates a more conducive environment for education, reflecting the direct impact of UBA’s involvement.
The collaboration between UBA ITM Cell and local government bodies illustrates the power of strategic communication and advocacy in community development. By acting as a bridge between the villages and government authorities, UBA ITM has played a crucial role in ensuring that essential infrastructural needs are met, demonstrating the effectiveness of coordinated efforts in rural development.
A Small library establishment program was organized for all the students studying in primary school Chetupada Dabra Gwalior. The benefit of which will be available to about 100 students studying there directly with the help of the school management.
As part of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan initiative, ITM University’s UBA Unit organized a comprehensive survey program aimed at identifying critical issues in local villages. Through this program, volunteers engaged with community members to gather data on various socio-economic and infrastructural challenges faced by the rural population. The findings from this survey were compiled into a detailed report, which was subsequently submitted to the district collector for necessary action and intervention.
The survey focused on areas such as education, health, sanitation, water resources, and livelihood opportunities. By identifying these key areas for development, ITM’s UBA Unit demonstrated its commitment to bridging the gap between academic institutions and rural development. The report highlights the critical needs of the community, serving as a foundation for targeted government action and resource allocation.
