Performing Arts Club (PAC)
The Institute of Technology and Management introduced a value-added course under the Indian Knowledge System to nurture student’s social and cultural sensibility. This course has been running effectively under the Performing Arts Club. In this value-added course students are provided training in theatre, music, dance, fine arts and literary.
Historical Background:
The ITM Performing Arts Club at the ITM Institute of Technology and Management has been active for many years, dedicated to the holistic development of students. Recognizing the need for a course that would further enhance students' social sensitivity and equip them with various skills, the Director of the Institute decided to take action. Consequently, an instructor was appointed on January 1, 2023, to train students in disciplines such as theater, dance, music, fine arts, and literary education, with a focus on social awareness. This value-added course began with a cohort of 25-26 students and, over two years, has successfully organized numerous cultural and social programs. At present is still nurturing new talents
Mission and Objectives:
The objective of the Value Edit course is to awaken an emotional aspect towards art, literature, and society in the students so that when the students come to render their services in the society after completing their education, they can fully express themselves and their emotions. And to present the intellectual aspect in a positive form is the aim of our institute, keeping this in mind we decided to run this value-added course under the auspices of ITM Performance Club.
Membership and Participation:
The membership of the club has been steadily increasing, with new and active members joining every semester. Every semester, we organize various programs and competitions in which club members participate and showcase their art.
Activities and Events:
The ITM Performing Arts Club has organized numerous successful events, including theater performances, music concerts, dance recitals, art exhibitions, and various other art-related programs. Each year, the club members organize various significant and inspirational theater production that also addresses social issues.
Impact and Recognition:
Our programs have had a significant impact on institute and our society, and the work of our club is commendable. We have received several awards and accolades, and our club has been featured in the media on numerous occasions.
Future Plans:
Our club aims to grow and diversify further. We plan to organize new programs, workshops, and arts festivals to provide even more opportunities for young talents to develop their skills and realize their dreams.Thus, the ITM Performing Arts Club is a thriving and progressive organization that is capable of promoting arts and literature in society and providing young talents with opportunities to fulfill their aspirations.

A play titled "Maharathi" focuses on the character of Karna from the Indian epic Mahabharata written by Mr. Vibhanshu Vaibhav. Mr. Vibhanshu Vaibhav is a well-known playwright and his rendition of Karna’s story in “Maharathi” has been widely appreciated in Indian theatre circles.
In ITM, the first play titled "Maharathi" was based on the life of Karna, and was staged at the NAAD amphitheater on April 13th, 2023. Karna, a central character in the Indian epic Mahabharata, was born to Kunti, the mother of the Pandavas, but was abandoned and raised by a charioteer. Despite his exceptional skills as a warrior and noble qualities, Karna faced discrimination due to his low birth. Throughout his life, he grappled with his identity and loyalty, ultimately meeting his fate on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. The play explores the complexities of Karna's character, his struggles, and his eventual destiny.
In this, Harsh Pratap Singh played the role of Karna, Mohan portrayed Arjuna, Mitali depicted Draupadi, Anvesh portrayed Duryodhana, Dushyant played Krishna, Suyash played King Drupad as the main characters, while 19 others played pivoted roles and contributed to the success.




This play was written by Mr. Anirudh Tiwari (Virat) and directed by Mr. Sanjay Singh Jadon.
"Parshuram Gatha" is a well-known play in Indian culture that depicts the legendary tale of Parshuram, a revered figure in Hindu mythology. Parshuram is known as the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu and is celebrated for his strength, valor, and devotion to his duties.
In The artists from Gwalior presented the play 'Parshuram Gatha' at IITTM college, with the involvement of three students from ITM college: Krishna portrayed the characters of Sahastrabahu Arjun's son and Sudama, Anuj depicted Sahastrabahu Arjun's son, and Pranjal enacted the role of Vishwa, the son of Jamadagni, and Laxman.




This play was written & directed by Mr. Gulshan Waliya Sir and Asst. Director is Mr. Jay Solace.
“Ek Khamosh Cheekh” is a play that depicts injustice against girls in society. Although nowadays there has been considerable improvement, even today in rural areas far from the city, incidents like these are heard of, which inspired the writing of this play. This play entirely showcases the oppression faced by girls in society.
This play was prepared during a 15-day workshop and was showcased on May 19th at the LDB Theatre Block of ITM University by the children of the ITM Performing Arts Club. The children from the club participated enthusiastically in the production. Along with this, MD Sir awarded the entire team a prize of Rs. 50,000 and additionally contributed Rs. 5 lakhs to the club fund.
In this, Krishna Goyal played the role of Daya, Sejal portrayed Savitri, Mohan depicted Rokelal, and Tanish portrayed Durgesh as the main characters, while 13 others played pivoted roles and contributed to the success.




The street play titled "Health Issue" was performed on stage in the village of Badera, located in the Dabra district. Badera is one of the villages adopted by ITM NSS, and this initiative was part of a broader effort to raise awareness among the villagers about the critical issues related to health and hygiene. The street play aimed to educate the local community about the importance of maintaining good health practices and the impact of hygiene on overall well-being.
This street play was a collaborative effort, with active participation from students associated with both the NSS and the Performing Arts Club of ITM. The students dedicated their time and energy to ensuring that the play was not only informative but also engaging for the audience.
Through this play, they gained a better understanding of how everyday habits can influence health outcomes, and they were encouraged to adopt healthier practices in their daily lives. The simplicity and relatability of the performance made it easy for the audience to connect with the content, which further amplified the impact of the message being delivered.
The success of the street play can be attributed to the collective effort of all those involved. The experience not only raised awareness about health and hygiene but also fostered a sense of community and mutual support among the participants and the audience.
The street play "Health Issue" thus stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and the importance of educational outreach in rural communities. The positive feedback from the villagers and the success of the event have motivated the students and organizers to continue their efforts in spreading awareness and making a difference in the lives of those in the adopted villages.

PanchLight – (Fadishwar Nath Renu): Date:21/06/2024
The play "Chandani Raat Ka Setu" was based on a love story in which the actor's love story unfolds from the past to the present. Through this play, an attempt was made to understand the meaning of life and true love.



Film Katha Studio presents "Baasan: The Vessel," which is based on rural folklore. This movie depicts the extent of human greed, which puts the life of his child in danger. The movie is around 76 minutes long.




On the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami, club members organized a devotional music evening called Bhajan Sandhya at the Performing Arts Club on September 6th. Members actively participated, and we were also joined by some great musicians from Gwalior.



"Gagan Damama Bajyo" is a play that revolves around the struggles and sacrifices of freedom fighters during the Indian independence movement. It draws inspiration from historical events and individuals who played pivotal roles in India's fight for independence against British colonial rule. The play encapsulates the spirit of nationalism, resilience, and sacrifice, highlighting the courage of those who fought for the country's freedom. In ITM, the first play titled " Gagan Damama Bajyo " was based on the life of Bhagat Singh, and was staged at the LDB Theatre Block of ITM University on September 30th, 2023. Piyush Mishra, a multifaceted Indian artist known for his contributions to theater, music, and film. He is renowned for his work as a lyricist, singer, and actor as well.





"Chausar: Game of Dice" is inspired by the ancient Indian epic, the Mahabharata, specifically focusing on the pivotal episode of the game of dice (dyutakrida). The play delves into the intricacies of the game and its consequences, particularly the events leading to the exile of the Pandavas and the eventual war between the Pandavas and the Kauravas. The artists from Gwalior presented the play 'Chausar: The game of Dice' at Natya Kala Mandir, Dal Bazar Gwalior with the involvement of three students from ITM college: Krishna portrayed the characters of Guru Dronacharya, Vivek depicted Sahdev, and Mohan enacted the role of Ashwathama, the son of Dronacharya.




The street play "AIDS Aur Uske Bachav ke Karan" was performed at Madhav College, Gwalior. Which is organized by the NSS and Aids Control Board/ Red Ribbon Club Society. Here, we raised awareness among people about AIDS through street play.
In this street play, everyone supported and it turned out to be a successful drama. This street play was prepared by the students of NSS and the Performing Arts Club. Our group of 10 students participated and won the the second prize, receiving a cash award of 5000.




Following our performance at Madhav College, we had the opportunity to present the street play “AIDS Aur Uske Bachav ke Karan” at the state level, held at Barkatullah University in Bhopal.
This event was organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) in collaboration with the Aids Control Board/Red Ribbon Club Society. Our goal was to raise awareness about AIDS, and we achieved this through the medium of a powerful street play.
The performance was a collective effort, with everyone involved contributing their best, resulting in a successful and impactful drama. The preparation for this street play was undertaken by the dedicated students of both the NSS and the Performing Arts Club, who worked tirelessly to ensure its success.

A group of students from the Performing Arts Club had the privilege of attending the three-day Chitranjan International Film and Theatre Festival in Rewa, organized by Rang Utsav Natya Samiti, which commenced on February 20th. The festival took place at the Krishna Raj Auditorium in Rewa, a venue that buzzed with excitement and creativity throughout the event.
The festival offered a rich and diverse experience. On the first day, we were captivated by the play “Purane Chawal”, a compelling piece written by Kumud Mishra. This was followed by the epic musical “Hanuman Leela” on the second day, a masterful work penned by Yogesh Tripathi that left the audience spellbound. The final day was marked by a melodious and energetic performance by Kabir Cafe, which filled the auditorium with a vibrant atmosphere.
Beyond these main performances, the festival also featured a variety of master classes led by industry experts, providing valuable insights into the world of film and theatre. Additionally, we had the opportunity to watch several film screenings, including notable titles like The Vaccine War, Manhole and Sony Ki Scooty. These screenings further enriched our understanding and appreciation of contemporary cinema.




The play “Shamshaan Mahaparv” is written from the perspective of common citizens, reflecting their lives after the war described in the historic Indian epic “Mahabharat”. It explores the profound impact of the war on the everyday lives of Hastinapur’s people, focusing on their struggles, transformations, and the societal changes that ensue.
This play was showcased on March 13th at the ITM Performing Arts Club, NR Block, ground floor, near Zero Gravity, ITM Gwalior by the children of the PAC. The children from the club participated enthusiastically in the production
In this, Vivek Chaturvedi played the role of Chandaal, Sourav portrayed Buda Baap, Suyash depicted Muldev, as the main characters, while 25 others played pivoted roles and contributed to the success.




PanchLight is a comedy play written by the renowned author Fadishwar Nath Renu, which vividly portrays life in a remote village in Bihar. The play masterfully uses humor to shed light on the daily lives, social issues, and intricate interpersonal relationships of the village's residents. Through its clever use of satire and wit, PanchLight offers an engaging and thought-provoking depiction of the social and cultural conditions prevalent in the village, making it both entertaining and impactful.
This play was showcased on June 21st at the ITM Performing Arts Club, located in the NR Block on the ground floor, near Zero Gravity at ITM Gwalior. The event drew an enthusiastic audience who appreciated the nuanced portrayal of rural life.
The play was penned by Mr. Fadishwar Nath Renu, whose writing brilliantly captured the essence of village life. The direction was handled by Mr. Tanishq Vyas, a final-year student who has since graduated. His direction brought the characters and scenes to life, ensuring that the performance was both engaging and memorable.
